Job summary

Restoration 1 New Jersey is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable / Payable & Collections Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will manage AR and collections for mitigation and reconstruction projects, process invoices in QuickBooks Online, and coordinate with TPAs and insurance carriers.

Requirements include a minimum of 3 years in AR/AP/collections in related industries, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with job costing and Salesforce or similar tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in accounts receivable, accounts payable, collections, or related financial admin role.
• Experience in property restoration, reconstruction, construction, insurance claims, or related industry.
• Strong knowledge of AR/AP processes, collections, POs, and job costing.
• Experience using QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts receivable and monitor outstanding balances for projects.
• Follow up with insurance carriers, TPAs, adjusters, mortgage companies, and customers on payments.
• Submit payment requests accurately through appropriate systems.
• Investigate delays and discrepancies and resolve issues.
• Maintain AR aging notes and job-cost records.
• Coordinate with project managers to resolve billing issues.
