IES Infrastructure is seeking an Accounting Specialist to support AR and AP functions. The role requires meticulous record-keeping, accurate data entry, and strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

This onsite position offers an hourly pay rate and full-time hours. The candidate should have prior AR/AP experience, familiarity with accounting software or ERP systems, and proficiency in Excel and Outlook.

Qualifications

• Prior professional AR and AP experience preferred.
• Background in basic accounting principles.
• Experience with accounting software or ERP systems.
• Proficiency with Excel and Outlook.
• Strong data entry and arithmetic abilities.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Monitor outstanding customer balances and AR records.
• Post and apply customer payments to accounts.
• Review and code vendor invoices for payment.
• Enter invoices and payment information into the accounting system.
• Assist with weekly and monthly payment processing.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain organized documentation of invoices, payments and activity.
• Ensure invoices are approved and processed per procedures.
