• 2+ years of B2B collections experience in nonprofit/association sector.
• Strong understanding of DSO and collections performance, with proven improvements.
• Experience in full-cycle AR: reconciliations, credits/write-offs, disputes, and cross-team collaboration.
• Proficient in Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP) for aging and collections analysis.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of past-due member and client accounts with proactive collections outreach.
• Track and report on DSO, identifying trends to reduce outstanding receivables.
• Own full-cycle AR tasks: billing discrepancies, unapplied cash, refunds, credits, and write-offs.
• Perform account reconciliations and resolve payment discrepancies with billing and cash teams.
• Communicate with members, clients, and internal stakeholders to resolve issues and negotiate payments.
• Leverage Excel to analyze aging reports and collections performance.

Addison Group's Finance & Accounting team is partnering with a well-established non-profit association to fill an AR Analyst role. This is a newly added position supporting the Finance team, with strong potential to convert to a permanent hire.

Location:

Washington, DC (5 days on-site; potential hybrid after conversion)

Contract-to-Hire, up to 6 months

What you'll do:

• Manage a portfolio of past-due member and client accounts, driving proactive collections outreach
• Track and report on DSO, identifying trends and strategies to reduce outstanding receivables
• Own full-cycle AR responsibilities beyond collections — billing discrepancies, unapplied cash and retainers, refunds, credits, and write-offs
• Perform account reconciliations and resolve payment discrepancies alongside billing and cash application teams
• Communicate directly with members, clients, and internal stakeholders to resolve issues and negotiate payment resolutions
• Leverage Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs/XLOOKUPs) to analyze aging reports and collections performance

What you bring:

• 2+ years of B2B collections experience within a nonprofit or association environment
• Strong understanding of DSO and collections performance, with a track record of improving it
• Full-cycle AR knowledge — reconciliations, disputes, credits/write-offs, and cross-team collaboration
• Strong Excel proficiency, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs/XLOOKUPs
• Confident communicator and negotiator who's process-oriented and proactive
