Job summary

Anthropic is seeking an Applied AI Architect on the Startups team to partner with founders and engineers, helping startups build on the Claude Developer Platform as they scale from early product to production. You will combine deep technical expertise with a builder-first mindset to architect innovative LLM solutions and win technical evaluations.

Working with Account Executives and the broader Sales, Product, and Engineering groups, you’ll translate startup needs into robust architectures,

Qualifications

• 3+ years in technical customer-facing roles such as Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, Forward Deployed Engineer, or founder-led sales.
• Experience with startups or high-growth tech companies.
• Strong builder credibility and ability to speak with founders and startup engineers.
• Deep technical proficiency in building and scaling AI products.
• Hands-on experience with LLM-powered applications in production.
• Strong technical communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Account Executives to understand startup requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Win technical evaluations and develop evaluation frameworks.
• Build credibility with founders and startup engineers through architectural guidance.
• Gather insights on startup usage and feed back to product/engineering teams.
• Travel to customer sites and industry events for workshops and deep dives.
