Job summary

Anthropic is seeking an Applied AI Architect on the Startups team to partner with founders and engineers, helping startups build on the Claude Developer Platform as they scale. You will translate startup needs into robust, scalable architectures and guide technical evaluations.

You will collaborate with Account Executives and cross‑functional teams, design evaluation frameworks, and share best practices for deploying Claude. Willingness to travel to customer sites and events is expected.

Qualifications

Minimum 3+ years in technical customer-facing roles such as Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, Forward Deployed Engineer, or founder-led sales experience.
Experience with startups or high-growth tech companies and early-stage velocity.
Strong builder credibility and ability to speak builders’ language and earn trust of startup teams.
Deep technical proficiency in building and scaling AI products and practical Claude knowledge.

Responsibilities

Partner with Account Executives to translate startup requirements into technical solutions.
Win technical evaluations and help startups develop evaluation frameworks for Claude.
Advise founders on architecture decisions and best practices for deploying Claude-powered systems.
Gather insights on startup use cases and feed them back to Product and Engineering teams.
Travel to customer sites, startup events, and industry conferences for workshops and deep dives.
