Job summary

GWS Tool Group in Michigan is seeking an Applications Specialist for Solid Round and Insert Cutting Tools. You will manage accounts, educate customers, and generate new opportunities by understanding metalworking needs and communicating capabilities to distributors.

Travel up to 50% to meet customers, present solutions, and coordinate with inside sales for quotes. The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in manufacturing with strong tooling knowledge and good speeds and feeds.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of manufacturing experience with milling, turning, grooving.
• Strong tooling knowledge and part processing experience.
• Good speeds and feeds knowledge; tool design is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Scheduling appointments and meeting customers to review applications and product requirements.
• Effectively planning and conducting sales presentations at customer sites daily.
• Liaising between customers and the company on pricing, service, and product launches.
• Generating and developing prospect accounts to increase revenue with distributors.
• Updating customers on product modifications and enhancements and attending trainings.
