Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking an Applications Engineer to define valve solutions for specialized check valves and work with sales, operations, and engineering to deliver tailored orders.

The role involves preparing quotations, coordinating with engineering for complex designs, and ensuring on-time delivery while maintaining accurate customer records and supporting training and warranty processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years product design engineering experience; flow control design a plus.
• 3D modeling experience required; SolidWorks a plus.
• Advanced data analysis in MS Excel.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates and quotations for control valve and specialized check valve RFQs.
• Manage complex valve orders from quotation through shipment.
• Collaborate with customers and internal teams on projects.
• Act as technical liaison with customers and participate in meetings.
• Maintain CRM records of interactions, opportunities and quotations.
