Job summary

Crane Co. in The Woodlands, TX seeks an Applications Specialist for Pacific Valves to drive growth and provide technical support across Pressure Seal, Bolted Bonnet, Wedge Plug and HF GGC valves.

You will partner with sales and engineering to define focus applications and prepare bids. The role requires 0–2 years in engineering, strong communication skills, and the ability to travel up to 20% for customer engagements and industry events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial or related Engineering field.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings, specs and documents.
• Internship, co-op or project experience in industrial equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical contact on Pacific Valves products for Pressure Seal, Bolted Bonnet, Wedge Plug and HF GGC valves by supporting internal teams, customers and channel partners.
• Define focus applications with the sales team and collaborate with Engineering to propose suitable alternatives when needed.
• Manage and track the opportunity funnel using Salesforce with timely updates to drive opportunities to closure.
• Assist Inside Sales in preparing bids for complex projects, review specifications, provide exceptions, and align pricing with guidelines.
• Collaborate with Project Management to monitor progress of special projects and provide timely updates from initiation through deployment.
• Develop and deliver technical training presentations to sales reps, distributors, and engineers on product applications, features, and differentiators.
• Support Business Line Manager in market forecasts, strategic plans, and cost-improvement initiatives.
