Schmidt Technology Corporation is seeking a self-motivated individual to provide technical sales support for customer inquiries and to nurture relationships through in-person visits and remote channels. You will conduct application testing and evaluation, assist with product selection, develop solutions, prepare proposals, and follow up to close opportunities.

Qualifications

• Willingness and aptitude to learn new skills.
• Ideally, experience in the manufacturing industry (automation a plus).
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
• General understanding of PLC-based controls, electrical, and pneumatic systems, including schematics.
• Ideally, experience with conventional toolroom equipment (calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, lathes, mills, grinders).
• Experience with standard office software packages (Microsoft products).
• Ideally, experience with CAD software.
• History of self-motivation, organization, problem-solving, and multi-tasking.
• Solid written and oral communication skills.
• Team player with a friendly, can-do demeanor.
• Ready to travel up to 20% annually.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical sales support for customer inquiries.
• Maintain customer relationships through in-person visits and other channels.
• Conduct application testing and evaluation.
• Assist with product selection and develop solutions.
• Prepare proposals and conduct follow-ups.
