Job summary

The Aebi Schmidt Group, Bristol, IN, is seeking an Applications Engineer to act as the technical interface between the business units and engineering, driving new product development and supporting field issues. You will travel domestically and internationally, prepare technical presentations, and coordinate engineering resources for ongoing activities.

Qualified candidates have a Bachelor’s in Engineering, 5+ years in a technical field, and experience with heavy vehicles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in an engineering or technical field.
• Experience related to the design and development of on-highway, heavy truck, specialty, or automotive vehicles preferred.
• Possess a Class B CDL, or be willing to obtain.
• Self-motivated, with ability to work independently, with minimal direct supervision.
• Comfortable with both analytical and hands-on application of technical skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication and leadership attributes.

Responsibilities

• Establish relationships with customers to provide technical and business solutions.
• Act as the key technical advisor and product advocate for the business unit.
• Translate customer requirements into functional and technical elements for new product development or optimization.
• Support competitive benchmarking to guide strategic planning.
• Prepare and deliver formal technical presentations to sales and customers.
• Travel regularly to ensure successful product launches and training.
• Maintain records for key customers, quotes, and project requests.
• Ensure application of INCOSE guidelines and support Systems Engineering.
• Assist in design and development to meet objectives.
• Other duties as assigned.
