Job summary

Planar is seeking an Applications Engineer to assist customers with the development and implementation of industry-leading display solutions. You will serve as the primary technical contact for consultants, architects, and designers, leading technical discussions and coordinating trainings and installations.

You will train and sometimes assist with product installations at customer sites, while providing feedback to Product Management on technical issues.

Qualifications

• Some higher education or vocational training in a technical field.
• 2+ years in a technical sales role in a B2B technology company.
• AV product knowledge.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Strong negotiation and selling ability.
• Ability to actively participate in team development and team-oriented processes.
• Valid US passport and ability to travel to Canada regularly.

Responsibilities

• Conduct product trainings and presentations to qualify sales opportunities.
• Provide pre- and post-sale integration and application development support.
• Partner with Customer Service to resolve post-sale technical issues.
• Partner with Sales to initiate technical discussions with customers.
• Make presentations and product demonstrations for decision-makers.
• Advise management on product development issues from customer feedback.
• Create technical documents and assist with proposals and technical orders.
• Provide on-site support for trainings and installations.
