Job summary

Planar is seeking an Applications Engineer to assist customers with development and implementation of display solutions. You will be a primary technical contact for consultants, architects, and designers, leading technical discussions to reach optimal solutions and training customers at times on-site.

You will collaborate with sales, engineering, and product management, provide feedback on product enhancements, and support the RMA and installation processes as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a technical sales role, preferably in a B2B technology company.
• A/V product knowledge.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Strong negotiation and selling ability.
• Ability to travel to Canada regularly.

Responsibilities

• Conduct product trainings and presentations, and provide technical qualification of sales opportunities for Sales.
• Provide pre and post-sale integration and application development support to new and existing customer base.
• Partner with Customer Service to resolve post-sale technical issues.
• Partner with Sales to initiate technical discussions with current and prospective customers.
• Make presentations and perform product demonstrations for the customer’s decision-makers and influencers.
