Job summary

Planar Systems in the United States is seeking an Applications Engineer to lead technical discussions with consultants, architects, and designers for display solutions. You will train and occasionally install products at customer sites, and provide feedback to Product Management.

You will collaborate with sales, service, and engineering to ensure optimal solutions, create technical docs, and support marketing activities. Travel to Canada is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in a technical sales role, preferably B2B technology.
• A/V product knowledge and ability to discuss product specs clearly.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel, including to Canada.

Responsibilities

• Conduct product trainings and presentations for sales opportunities.
• Provide pre- and post-sale integration and application development support.
• Assist Sales with proposals, technical reviews, and on-site demonstrations.
• Create technical documents and coordinates hardware/software demos.
• Provide feedback to Product Management on customer needs and issues.
