Job summary

OTC Industrial Technologies is seeking an Application Engineer who designs and develops components and systems to meet customer specifications while considering cost and manufacturability. The role involves modifying existing designs and applying engineering principles to mechanical or electrical products.

You will review customer data, define requirements, and work with suppliers and production teams to ensure timely delivery and reliability.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or certificate in a technical discipline; bachelor's preferred.
• Drafting skills using AutoCAD LT or SolidWorks.
• Experience with PLCs and HMIs (Siemens S7; Allen Bradley RS Logix).
• Demonstrated technical expertise in product segments.
• Proficient computer software skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe PDF).

Responsibilities

• Review design requests, evaluate feasibility and cost for systems/products.
• Define customer product requirements and plan design specifications.
• Assist with project management including bids, supplier evaluation, and production planning.
• Provide recommendations to improve reliability or performance and drive continuous improvement.
• Resolve production problems with the manufacturing team.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
