Job summary

OTC Industrial Technologies in Ohio seeks an Application Engineer to design and develop mechanical and electrical systems per customer specs, applying engineering principles and modeling to assess feasibility and cost. You will review requests, define requirements, and draft specs using CAD tools.

Responsibilities include supporting project management, production planning, and continuous improvement, resolving manufacturing issues, and delivering reliable, cost-effective solutions.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent in a technical discipline or related education/experience.
• Drafting proficiency in AutoCAD LT or SolidWorks required.
• Experience or ability to program PLCs/HMIs with Siemens/S7 and RSLogix.

Responsibilities

• Review design requests and data to evaluate feasibility and cost.
• Define product requirements and plan to meet them.
• Assist with project management and production planning.
• Provide recommendations to improve reliability and performance.
• Resolve production problems with the manufacturing team.
