Job summary

OTC Industrial Technologies is seeking an Application Engineer to design and develop mechanical and electrical systems per customer specs. Responsibilities include CAD drafting, PLC/HMI programming, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure cost-effective solutions.

The role emphasizes electrical/mechanical design, data review, and project support, with opportunities for professional growth within a transformational company.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or certificate in a technical discipline.
• Experience drafting with AutoCAD LT or SolidWorks.
• Experience with PLCs and HMIs.
• Able to work in a highly matrixed, cross-functional environment.

Responsibilities

• Review design requests and data to evaluate feasibility and cost.
• Define product requirements and create design specifications.
• Assist with project management including bids and production planning.
• Provide recommendations to improve reliability and performance and follow through to completion.
• Resolve production problems with manufacturing teams.
• All other duties as assigned.
