Job summary

Capital District Physicians' Health Plan Inc in New York State is seeking a Manager, Applications Development to lead a 5–10 person IT team. You will oversee development, updates, and production support while aligning with stakeholders to deliver strategic technical solutions.

You will drive SDLC governance (eSDLC), act as IT Product Owner, manage backlogs with sponsors, and coach staff towards higher performance, cost control, and compliant practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in IT with people management experience.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field; or 6+ years' experience in lieu of degree.
• Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Overall accountability for IT applications portfolio and delivery.
• Govern and oversee the eSDLC within the team.
• Serve as IT Product Owner for currency, security, and requirements.
• Collaborate with sponsors to clarify intent and prioritize work.
• Lead incident, change, and production support activities.
• Coach and develop a 5–10 person team across NY regions.
