Job summary

OTC Industrial Technologies is seeking an Application Engineer to design and develop components and systems per customer needs, updating existing designs and applying engineering principles. The role involves reviewing requests, defining requirements, and supporting project management, with a focus on reliability and continuous improvement.

The position requires an associate degree or equivalent, experience with drafting tools, and PLC/HMI programming knowledge, along with strong communication

Qualifications

• Associates degree in technical discipline or equivalent training/experience.
• Drafting with AutoCAD LT or SolidWorks required.
• Experience programming PLCs and HMIs (Siemens S7, RSLogix).
• Strong technical expertise in the product segment and MS Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Review customer design requests and evaluate feasibility and cost.
• Define product requirements and complete design specifications.
• Assist with project management including bids and supplier negotiations.
• Provide recommendations to improve reliability and performance.
• Resolve production problems with the manufacturing team.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
