Job summary

Fortress Safety, Inc. is seeking an Application Engineer to provide expert support for machine-safety interlocks and safety systems.

This on-site role in Erlanger/Cincinnati involves diagnosing complex issues and guiding customers through safety solutions with the sales and engineering teams. You’ll travel to customer sites to troubleshoot, deliver training, and support product adoption, leveraging IO-Link Safety and related electrical devices.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in an application, field-service, technical-support or engineering role within industrial automation.
• Familiarity with industrial safety systems, PLCs, HMIs and automation technologies.
• Machinery electrical knowledge is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert application and troubleshooting support for machine-safety interlocking products by phone, email and on-site.
• Travel to customer sites to troubleshoot and resolve issues in the field.
• Support sales by helping customers specify and integrate safety solutions.
• Capture customer feedback to inform product development.

Help grow a safer, cleaner, healthier future for everyone, every day.Application Engineer – Machine Safety & InterlocksLocation: Erlanger / Cincinnati Kentucky (on-site, commutable)Job Type: Permanent, full-timeSalary: $75,000–$85,000 + benefitsAbout the opportunityFortress Safety is looking for a hands-on Application & Technical Support Engineer to support our engineered machine-safety and interlocking products across pre- and post-sales. This is a physical-product engineering role, not IT / SaaS — you'll solve real machinery challenges for customers, not troubleshoot IT systems.
