Job summary

Lowe’s in Kentucky is seeking a Sales Specialist to assist customers, translate project needs into product solutions, and drive store sales. You will become a product expert, explaining specifications, features, and financing options to help close deals.

In this role you’ll move throughout the store, engage customers, answer questions, and contribute to achieving department goals. A flexible, part-time schedule is common in this position.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 year in customer-facing sales or 6 months Lowe’s retail experience (or 3 years external experience if education not met).
• 1 year of experience in sales or customer service in a sales environment with required sales goals or metrics.
• Able to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Able to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• Minimally lift 25lbs unassisted or over 25lbs with or without an accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by understanding customer needs and communicating product advantages.
• Serve as a point of contact for customers and vendors; estimate projects, schedule installer visits, process orders.
• If in Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales and services.
• Monitor inventory levels; coordinate with vendors and stores to reorder stock.
• Perform price reviews by pricing policies and maintain pricing documentation.
• Support all checkout functions and department requests for assistance.
• Train associates on the Sales floor and coach development needs.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
