Job summary

Lowe's in Cincinnati, OH is hiring a Sales Specialist to assist customers, understand project needs, and close sales with product knowledge. You will advise on specifications, promotions, and financing options while delivering friendly, proactive service in a fast-paced retail environment.

You will work in one of several departments and help customers achieve home improvement goals with expert guidance and a focus on customer satisfaction and repeat business.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 year experience in customer-facing sales or 6 months Lowe’s retail experience (or 3 years external sales or 18 months Lowe’s retail if education not met).
• 1 year of sales or customer service experience with sales goals or metrics.
• Able to read, write and perform basic arithmetic.
• Able to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• Minimally lift 25 lbs.
• Obtain sales-related licensure if required by state (Lowe's will support).

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by understanding needs and communicating Lowe's product advantages.
• Serve as point of contact for customers and vendors within your department, providing estimates, scheduling installer visits, processing and tracking orders, and following up to ensure project completion.
• If in Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales and services.
• Monitor inventory levels to support sales and coordinate with vendors to find merchandise or replacements.
• Perform price reviews according to pricing policies and maintain pricing and documentation.
• Support all checkout functions and requests for assistance.
• Train associates on the Sales floor and coach on development needs.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
