Job summary

LG Electronics is seeking a Field Service Technician (Appliance Repair) to service the Boston, MA area. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain major appliances, TVs and A/C units, traveling to customers’ homes and documenting service data.

The role requires technical diagnostics, problem-solving, and strong customer-facing skills, with EPA certification and a valid driver’s license. Growth and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in a technical role (Appliance repair preferred).
• Experience repairing major appliances (Refrigeration/sealed systems, cooking, cleaning).
• Experience in the use of tools, and diagnostic test equipment.
• Ability to properly trouble-shoot, diagnose, repair and document product/system issues.

Responsibilities

• Travel offsite to customers' locations to perform maintenance and repair of LG's equipment to ensure top product performance.
• Proper use of all safety equipment (PPE), vehicle and diagnostic tools provided by LG.
• Conducts technical diagnosis and performs specialized repairs on a variety of electronics and home appliances.
• Diagnose problems, assess the extent of the problem, document findings, make decisions to repair the product and/or replace parts.
• Immediately and accurately process paperwork and perform data entry upon completion of each job.
• Pre-screen next day service calls by obtaining necessary information to help diagnose problem prior to arriving at customer's home.
• Meet or exceed company metrics (customer satisfaction, fix right first time, revisits, parts management, OT %).
