Job summary

LG Electronics is seeking a Field Service Technician (Appliance Repair) to service customers in the Portland, OR area. The role involves diagnosing and repairing major home appliances, TVs, and AC units, while traveling to customer sites and maintaining accurate paperwork and data entry.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in a technical role (appliance repair preferred).
• Experience repairing major appliances (refrigeration/cooking/cleaning).
• Experience in the use of tools and diagnostic test equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, repair and document product issues.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing.
• Ability to obtain EPA Certification.
• Meet physical requirements up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Travel offsite to customers' locations to perform maintenance and repair of LG's equipment to ensure top product performance.
• Use safety equipment (PPE), vehicle and diagnostic tools provided by LG.
• Conducts technical diagnosis and performs specialized repairs on a variety of appliances.
• Diagnose problems, assess extent, document findings, and decide repair or parts replacement.
• Process paperwork and data entry after each job.
• Pre-screen next day service calls by obtaining necessary information to help diagnose problems prior to arriving at customer's home.
• Meet or exceed company metrics (customer satisfaction, fix right first time, revisits, parts management, OT%).
