Job summary

Groundswell is seeking an experienced Appian Test Engineering Lead to support web-based applications with automation testing expertise. You will shape the overall QA program, lead test strategy and environments, and mentor a testing team to deliver quality software in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.

You’ll work with Playwright and Selenium, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and ensure timely communication regarding upgrades, downtimes, and system changes. A U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information technology or related discipline.
• 5+ years of software testing experience.
• 2+ years of automation testing experience.
• Experience leading a team and mentoring junior team members.
• Experience interpreting requirements, writing quality control documentation, and writing UAT test plans.
• Knowledge of Test Management, Automation toolsets and processes.
• Knowledge of Performance Testing process and cadence.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of the quality assurance program.
• Lead the development of overall test strategy, environment design, and test data.
• Provide leadership in hiring, training, mentoring, and evaluations of testing team members.
• Plan, execute, and report on software development and maintenance testing.
• Review and provide recommendations regarding test documentation.
• Develop test plans and procedures based on specifications and data in requirements.
• Develop data collection plans and train operators and data collectors.
• Review test incident reports for accuracy and completeness.
• Support analysis of user requirements and assist in test plan design.
• Collaborate with testing groups on issues and topics.
• Communicate upgrades, downtimes, and system changes, or issues as needed.
• Report bugs properly and escalate issues as needed.
• Perform technical reviews; ensure adherence to quality processes.
