Job summary

Groundswell, a premier technology integrator serving federal agencies, seeks an experienced Appian Test Engineering Lead. You will guide QA strategy, lead automation efforts with Playwright and Selenium, and mentor a remote/hybrid testing team.

Required: Bachelor's in IT, 5+ years testing, 2+ years automation, and proven leadership. U.S. citizenship for security clearance. Salary range $97,756–$137,530; strong benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in information technology or related discipline from an accredited college or university (required).
• 5+ years of software testing experience with cross-functional teams.
• 2+ years of automation testing experience.
• Experience leading a team and mentoring junior members.
• Experience interpreting requirements, writing test reports and UAT plans.
• Knowledge of Test Management, Automation toolsets and processes.
• Knowledge of Performance Testing process and cadence.
• Proficiency with Playwright and Selenium.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and in remote/hybrid teams.
• Must be a U.S. citizen for contract requirements and able to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of the overall test strategy and environment.
• Plan, execute, and report on software development and maintenance testing.
• Provide leadership in hiring, mentoring, and evaluating testing staff.
• Develop test plans and procedures from requirements and technical data.
• Collaborate with testing groups on issues and topics.
• Communicate upgrades, downtimes, and system changes clearly.
• Report bugs accurately and escalate as needed.
• Conduct technical reviews and ensure adherence to QA processes.
