Groundswell is hiring an Appian Test Engineering Lead to drive web-based application testing with automation expertise. You will design QA strategy, lead test plans, and mentor a testing team across remote and hybrid environments, ensuring quality across development cycles and system changes.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s in IT, 5+ years testing, 2+ years automation, leadership experience, and proficiency with Playwright and Selenium. U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field.
• 5+ years of software testing experience.
• 2+ years of automation testing experience.
• Experience leading a team and mentoring junior members.
• Ability to write test reports and user acceptance test plans (including Acceptance Criteria).

Responsibilities

• Play a strategic role in the overall design and implementation of the quality assurance program.
• Lead the development of overall test strategy, test environment design, and test data
• Provide leadership in the selection and hiring, training, mentoring, project performance evaluations of testing team members.
• Plan, execute, and report on software development and maintenance testing
• Review and provide recommendations regarding test documentation
• Develop test plans and procedures in support of system evaluation based on specifications
• Develop data collection plans and training for operators and data collectors
• Review Test Incident Reports for accuracy and completeness
• Support analysis of documented user requirements and assist in test plan design
• Work with testing groups on test-related issues and topics
• Communicate upgrades, downtimes, system changes, or issues promptly
• Report bugs properly and escalate issues as needed
• Conduct technical reviews; ensure adherence to quality processes
