Job summary

Alpha is hiring for a full-time, on-site elementary teaching role focused on app-based core literacy instruction. You will coach K-3 students, diagnose gaps, and deliver targeted sessions, with a strong emphasis on measurable reading progress and daily goals.

The role requires at least 3 years working with 4–9 year olds, 2 years teaching reading in K-3, and completion of structured-literacy training. Relocation support and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years working directly with children ages 4-9 within the last 5 years.
• At least 2 years of that experience teaching reading in grades K-3, within the last 5 years.
• Completed structured-literacy training: LETRS, IMSE, Orton-Gillingham, Wilson, Fundations, UFLI, CERI, Neuhaus, SIPPS, RGR, or similar; or a master's in reading or literacy.
• Bachelor's degree required; teaching certificate not required.
• 70% of work with app-based learning; 30% on targeted reading sessions.
• Willing to work on-site; relocation support provided.
• Legally authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Coach students through app-based core learning: identify gaps, ask guiding questions, and maintain daily goals.
• Run targeted structured-literacy sessions (2–4 students) by designed sequence and check transfer.
• Lead morning launch, life-skills workshops, and check-chart activities to keep students engaged.
• Drive weekly app goals with school currency, leaderboards, and gamification.
• Remain with students through lunch, recess, closing, and reading interventions; address frustration with a plan.
