Job summary

Greystar is seeking a maintenance technician to ensure vacant units are market-ready through repairs, caulking, sealing, and paint touch-ups. You will inspect drywall, maintain grounds and common areas, and support cost-saving maintenance practices while following safety standards.

Responsibilities include completing the make-ready checklist, maintaining documentation, and delivering responsive service to residents. On-site role with comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in completing repairs and improvements to apartment homes before resident move-in.
• Ability to caulk, seal around windows and fixtures, and perform basic drywall repairs.
• Proficient in touch-up painting and general maintenance tasks.
• Ability to maintain grounds, pools, breezeways, and common areas to meet property standards.
• Familiarity with cost-saving maintenance practices and proper tool usage.
• Completion of required safety trainings and adherence to OSHA and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Completes repairs and improvements to meet move-in readiness checklists.
• Ensures caulking and sealing around windows, sinks, toilets, tubs, and showers.
• Inspects sheetrock for damage and performs repairs or replacements.
• Performs touch-up painting as directed by supervisor or manager.
• Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities; performs cleaning and painting as needed.
• Supports cost-cutting by fixing rather than replacing when possible; uses materials wisely.
• Completes make-ready checklist and maintenance documentation in a timely manner.
• Follows safety policies, attends safety meetings, and reports incidents promptly.
• Demonstrates strong customer service by addressing resident questions and concerns.
