Job summary

PeakMade Real Estate is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our apartment community in San Marcos, TX. You will perform a variety of maintenance tasks, respond to service requests, and contribute to a safe, attractive living environment for residents and staff.

The role requires a high school diploma, at least one year of maintenance experience, and the ability to work weekends and a rotating on-call schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least one year maintenance experience, preferably in the apartment industry.
• EPA Type I and II certification preferred.
• Must live within 30 miles of the assigned property.
• Must be able to work a rotating on-call schedule and weekends/holidays.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances and all other systems at the community.
• Other licenses and certifications as required by local, state or federal law

Responsibilities

• Complete service requests and repairs promptly and thoroughly.
• Monitor inventory of equipment, tools, parts and supplies.
• Maintain preventative maintenance schedule.
• Communicate with residents, employees, vendors and supervisors.
• Assist with move-in/move-out processes and maintenance turn events.
• Perform scheduled maintenance on equipment per manufacturer recommendations.
• Participate in on-call rotation for emergencies.
• Maintain accurate records and keep common areas clean.
