Job summary

PeakMade Real Estate is seeking a Maintenance Technician for an apartment community in Texas. The role emphasizes resident service, routine repairs, and preventative maintenance to protect the property's value.

You will work with the Maintenance Supervisor to keep equipment in good condition, manage inventory, and ensure safety protocols while maintaining curb appeal and timely response to service requests.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year maintenance experience, preferably in the apartment industry.
• EPA certification Type I and II preferred.
• Must live within 30 miles of the assigned property.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to participate in rotating on-call schedule.
• Ability to work a varied schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances and all other systems at community.
• Other licenses and certifications as required by local, state or federal law.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all service requests and repairs are completed thoroughly and in a timely manner.
• Assist Maintenance Supervisor with monitoring inventory of equipment, tools, parts and supplies at appropriate levels.
• Maintain preventative maintenance schedule.
• Communicate effectively with residents, fellow employees, vendors and supervisors.
• Work with Maintenance Supervisor to adhere to budget guidelines and maintain an effective preventative maintenance program.
• Inspect grounds, buildings, and other community features to minimize liability concerns.
• Perform swimming pool maintenance and cleaning and maintain accurate chemical logs.
• Participate in on-call rotation for emergency service.
• Perform scheduled maintenance on all equipment based on manufacturer recommendations.
