Job summary

SMC is seeking a Service Technician to perform hands-on repairs and preventive maintenance across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, and tiling. You will diagnose problems, document service requests, and ensure work meets company standards and legal requirements.

A rotating Saturday schedule and valid driver's license are required. Ideal candidates have strong troubleshooting, superb customer service, and the ability to lift up to 80 pounds.

Qualifications

• Experience in multiple trades including electrical, plumbing, carpentry and tiling.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent customer service and accurate documentation skills.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance and apartment turns.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose problems and perform repairs across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall and tiling.
• Address, follow up and document service requests; maintain records accurately.
• Assist with inventory; maintain personal tool supply per checklist.
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to maintenance emergencies as needed.
• Ensure compliance with internal quality standards and applicable laws.
