Job summary

Harbor Group in Long Beach, CA is seeking a Multi-site Maintenance Technician to care for two or more properties. You will perform plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, appliance repair, and general upkeep to meet company standards for safety, cleanliness, and functionality.

You will respond to resident service requests, schedule and manage preventative maintenance, prepare vacant units, maintain amenity areas, manage tools and inventory, and support safety training and inspections.

Qualifications

• Experience in general maintenance including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, or appliance repair.
• HVAC certification preferred; EPA Type I & II or Universal certification required for refrigerant handling.
• Multifamily (apartment) maintenance experience highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical and mechanical maintenance including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, appliance repair, and glass replacement.
• Respond to resident service requests promptly using a work order system and complete repairs per company standards and local codes.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and repair tasks to ensure safe operation of the property.
• Prepare vacant units for new residents by inspections, punch lists, scheduling contractors, and quality checks.
• Maintain clean and functional amenity areas through cleaning, trash removal, pressure washing, and painting as needed.
• Manage maintenance tools and materials, track inventory use, and notify supervisors of reorder needs.
• Repair rather than replace parts when possible to control costs and use tools efficiently.
• Attend safety meetings, complete OSHA training, and report incidents accurately.
• Inspect vendor/contractor work for quality and scope compliance.
• Assist in property inspections to identify needs and ensure upkeep.
