Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure the physical aspects of our properties meet safety, cleanliness, and functional standards. You will handle work orders, preventative maintenance, make-ready tasks for vacant units, and assist with grounds and common areas.

This role requires EPA refrigerant recycling certification, state/local licenses, and a valid driver's license; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus. Competitive benefits and a focus on safety are provided.

Qualifications

• EPA refrigerant recycling certification (Type 1/II or Universal) is required for certified service techs.
• State and local jurisdiction certifications are required by applicable laws.
• A valid driver’s license is required to operate gas/electric equipment or golf carts on property.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders and preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects and making repairs per policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Completes the make-ready process to prepare vacant apartments for leasing, including inspections, punch lists, scheduling vendors, acquiring materials, and inspecting work.
• Manages materials by tracking inventory, returning unused items, and notifying supervisor when re-ordering.
• Prepares and maintains documentation for service requests to ensure proper recording and tracking.
• Assists in maintaining grounds, common areas, and amenities through cleaning, painting, and debris removal.
• Supports cost-control by repairing parts rather than replacing them where feasible and using materials efficiently.
• Performs routine property inspections to identify safety concerns and communicates needs to management.
• Participates in safety trainings and adheres to OSHA and related safety requirements.
