Greystar's Avana SoCo in Austin, TX is hiring a Maintenance Technician to perform skilled mechanical work ensuring building and grounds meet safety and appearance standards. You will diagnose issues, complete make-ready tasks, manage inventory, and document all requests for efficient operations.

The role requires EPA refrigerant certifications, a valid driver's license, and flexibility for schedule including evenings or weekends. Excellent benefits accompany base pay of $22–$24 per hour.

Qualifications

• EPA Type 1 and II or Universal refrigerant certifications required.
• All state and local certifications must be held.
• Valid driver's license to operate golf carts on property if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Completes work orders from resident requests and performs preventive maintenance, diagnosing defects and making repairs per safety standards.
• Executes the make-ready process for vacant units, including pre-move-out inspection, punch list creation, scheduling vendors, and inspecting work.
• Follows procedures to access materials, tracks inventory, returns unused items, and notifies supervisor on re-ordering needs.
• Completes documentation and paperwork to record and track service requests accurately.
• Maintains grounds and amenities by cleaning, pressure-washing, painting curbs and signage as needed.
• Supports cost-saving by repairing parts instead of replacing them and using tools correctly.
