Job summary

Greystar is hiring a Maintenance Technician at Avana Southview in Inver Grove Heights, MN. This full-time role covers technical maintenance of buildings, grounds, and amenities to uphold Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, and function.

The position requires completing work orders, make-ready tasks, inventory management, documentation, and on-site upkeep. EPA refrigerant certifications and a valid driver’s license are required; OSHA training is encouraged.

Qualifications

• EPA refrigerant certifications Type 1 and II or Universal are required for certified technicians.
• Valid driver’s license required to operate golf cart or vehicle on-property.
• State and local jurisdiction certifications as required for all service technicians.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders and preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects and making repairs per safety standards and codes.
• Performs make-readies for vacant units, conducts pre-move-out inspections, creates punch lists, and schedules vendors as needed.
• Tracks inventory, procures supplies, and notifies supervisor when re-ordering is necessary.
• Documents service requests clearly and accurately to ensure proper tracking and history.
• Maintains property grounds and amenities, including cleaning, painting curbs, and pressure-washing as needed.
• Supports cost-control by repairing rather than replacing parts where feasible and using materials efficiently.
