Job summary

Monarch Investment and Management Group is seeking a full-time Apartment Maintenance Tech at Quail Hollow Apartments in Columbia, SC. This hands-on role covers make-readies, work-orders, grounds, and some shared on-call responsibilities.

Pay is $21-24 per hour plus up to $3,000+ in yearly bonuses. A robust benefits package includes 401k, medical, PTO, and paid holidays, with additional perks like rental discounts.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in maintenance or equivalent.
• 6+ months experience in apartment maintenance.
• Dry walling including painting and carpentry.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, copper piping preferred.
• Basic knowledge of electrical including outlets, switches and light fixtures.
• Basic repair and/or diagnosis of appliances including refrigerators, stoves, dishwashers and garbage disposal.
• Pool experience with CPO certification preferred.
• Some knowledge of water heaters both electric and gas.
• Problem solving skills.
• Be able to provide great customer service to our residents.
• Have basic safety training or be willing to go through basic training within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all work orders are completed in a timely manner based on priority.
• Make Ready / Turning Units in between tenants.
• Painting/Staining both interior and exterior applications.
• Manage and adapt a preventative maintenance program.
• Exterior structural maintenance as needed.
• Managing coverage of a 24/7 emergency cell phone.
• Snow removal (when applicable).
• Pool maintenance (where applicable).
• Housing inspection experience preferred (not required).

HIRING - APARTMENT MAINTENANCE TECH (FULL-TIME) join our awesome apartment maintenance team in Columbia South Carolina at Quail Hollow Apartments! This is a hands on job that will deal with make-readies, work-orders, grounds, and some shared on-call.

PAY: $21-24 an hour plus up to $3,000+ in bonuses throughout the year!

BONUSES POTENTIAL:

• $750 quarterly bonuses (based on site performance)
• $100 for every week you hold the on-call phone and minimum 1.5hrs paid time for emergency calls
• That is $3,000+ in annual bonuses!

What You'll Be Doing:

• Basic knowledge of electrical including outlets, switches and light fixtures
• Basic repair and/or diagnosis of appliances including refrigerators, stoves, dishwashers and garbage disposal
• Required experience in HVAC with EPA certification
• Pool experience with CPO certification preferred
• Some knowledge of water heaters both electric and gas
• Problem solving skills
• Be able to provide great customer service to our residents
• Have basic safety training or be willing to go through basic training within 30/days

This role requires pre-employment screenings, including a criminal background check and a drug screening.

Valid driver’s license required.
