Job summary

Avenue5 Residential in the United States is seeking a Maintenance Technician to address apartment and property upkeep, delivering high standards of customer service, curb appeal, and safety across assigned properties.

You will perform repairs (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC), perform preventative maintenance, maintain work orders, assist with emergencies, and collaborate with residents and team to ensure timely, quality service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least one year of experience in the property management industry or related field.
• Possess general maintenance and general carpentry skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance functions including repairs to electrical, plumbing, appliances, flooring, carpentry, HVAC, grounds maintenance as dictated by state guidelines.
• Perform general carpentry duties such as wallboard repair, countertop/cabinet replacement, finish carpentry, window/glass repair, door/lock repair, and tile repair.
• Perform preventative maintenance including siding, painting, lighting, sprinkler, pool, elevator and more.
• Maintain work order system by verifying all orders are completed promptly to company standards and residents' satisfaction.
• Inspect grounds, buildings, and common areas to ensure safety and cleanliness and identify issues needing maintenance or replacement.
• Assist with emergencies such as snow removal and other weather-related incidents, fires, floods.
• Communicate with maintenance leadership regarding all property issues.
• Promote safety and risk management in line with rules and regulations.
• Participate in on-call/after-hours maintenance with prompt response times.
• Promote customer satisfaction by maintaining cleanliness and curb appeal and interacting professionally with residents.
• Foster positive relationships with residents and other properties.
• Maintain professional demeanor and appearance; adhere to uniform policy.
• Adhere to all components of the company risk management program.
