Job summary

Rose Valley Management is hiring a Porter to join our team. A Porter provides excellent customer service while performing preventative and routine maintenance throughout the property grounds and in resident units.

The position requires on-call availability and reliable transportation. Duties include cleaning common areas, groundskeeping, move-in/out support, and reporting safety hazards to the maintenance staff.

Qualifications

• Customer service oriented attitude.
• Must have reliable transportation for on-call emergencies.
• Experience working in maintenance in an apartment community.
• On call REQUIRED.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of all common areas including hallways, stairwells, breezeways, clubhouses, fitness centers, laundry rooms, and restrooms.
• Perform daily groundskeeping duties such as trash and litter removal, sweeping walkways, and maintaining parking areas.
• Assist with trash management, including collection of dumpster areas and compactor rooms.
• Support move-in and move-out preparations, including light cleaning and basic apartment setup.
• Monitor community grounds and amenities for safety hazards and report issues to the maintenance team.
• Assist maintenance staff with light duties as needed (changing light bulbs, painting touch-ups, replacing signage, etc.).
• Ensure supplies and cleaning materials are properly stocked and stored.
• Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and on-call or emergency protocols when applicable.
