Job summary

Steve Brown Apartments in Madison is seeking a friendly concierge to be the face of the property. You will assist residents and guests, answer phones, accept deliveries, greet people, and help with access to the building.

This part-time, hourly position offers 8–16 hours per week with shifts Mon, Tue, Thu and Fri 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. at our Lucky Apartments, plus training and social events.

Qualifications

• People-oriented, friendly, and able to connect with residents and guests.
• Strong communication and listening skills for phone and in-person interactions.
• Experience in customer-facing roles such as retail, food service, or hospitality is helpful.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones and assist residents and guests.
• Accept deliveries and help with building access.
• Open doors and greet residents/guests in a welcoming manner.
• Assist with resident events and coordinate simple tasks.
• Answer account questions and perform property walks.
• Keep common areas tidy and safe; be available for residents' needs.

What You’ll Do All Day.

You’ll spend your day as the face of the company, ready to be the hero and assist our residents with any need. You’ll answer phones, accept deliveries, open doors, greet residents and guests, provide or deny access to the building, work resident events, answer account questions, perform property walks, ensure common areas are tidy and more. No two days will be the same!

What It Takes.

You like being helpful, assisting others, meeting new people, and being genuinely kind. People who do best in this role have a talent for connecting with individuals and storytelling. Previous experience in a job with high-demand customers and a little hustle (e.g., retail, restaurant, or hospitality) is beneficial, and with a minimum requirement of a high school diploma or equivalent.

When and Where We’ll See You.

You’ll be working at our flagship student property, Lucky Apartments. As a part-time employee, you’ll work about 8-16 hours per week. We currently have available shifts Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Our Application Process.

We typically interview each candidate one to two times before making an offer. We hire for the long-term, not for the moment, and take the time to get it right.

Salary: $15 - $15 per hour
