Job summary

Louisiana Delta Community College is seeking an Accounts Payable and Receivable Specialist to support daily financial operations at our West Monroe campus. The role involves processing invoices, payments, deposits, and maintaining accurate student and vendor accounts using Ellucian Banner.

The ideal candidate holds an associate degree in accounting/finance/business, with 1–3 years in AP/AR or related finance tasks, preferably in higher education.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in accounting/finance/business preferred; experience may substitute.
• 1–3 years of accounts payable/receivable or related finance experience preferred.
• Experience in higher education setting and/or with Ellucian Banner preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Assist with accounts payable transactions per policies and procedures.
• Assist with accounts receivable processing, deposits, receipts and payments.
• Support Accountant with Banner entries and posting payments to student accounts.
• Review invoices for accuracy, approvals and compliance.
• Enter and maintain financial data in Ellucian Banner and other systems.
• Assist with reconciliations and researching discrepancies.
• Maintain organized AP/AR records and documentation.
• Respond to routine inquiries from vendors, staff and internal departments.
