Job summary

Mitsui & Co. Houston seeks an AP/AR Coordinator to handle day-to-day processing using Microsoft Dynamics and NetSuite, ensuring timely transactions and accurate records.

You will collaborate with Accounting, Treasury and other stakeholders, assist month-end close, tax compliance, and audit requests in a professional office setting. The role requires 1–3 years in Accounting, experience with Dynamics or NetSuite, and a degree in accounting related field.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years direct experience in Accounting, AP/AR preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics and NetSuite is preferred.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred.
• Knowledge of tax compliance and audit support is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable activities, including vendor invoices, payment requests, and related documentation.
• Process accounts receivable activities, including customer invoicing, cash application, and related account maintenance.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and process transactions using Microsoft Dynamics (Business Central) and NetSuite.
• Research and resolve routine invoices, billing, payment, and transaction discrepancies.
• Assist with monthly close activities, including account reconciliations, supporting schedules, and routine journal entries as assigned.
• Coordinate with the Treasury team on payment processing, cash receipts, and other AP/AR-related cash activities.
• Assist with tax compliance activities, including Forms W-9 and 1099 and preparation of supporting information for tax filings.
• Assist with internal and external audit requests and preparation of supporting documentation.
• Maintain accounting records and support documentation in accordance with company procedures and internal control requirements.
• Assist with accounting process improvements and other activities as needed.
