Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking an Associate Director of Annual Giving to drive unrestricted revenue and oversee a robust annual giving program, including donor segments and employee giving. This role reports to the Director of Annual & Community Giving and leads a dedicated staff.

You will work with the Development Communications team, analyze data to guide strategy, and push for growth in donor acquisition and retention while coordinating across fundraising channels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred, not required.
• 5–7 years relevant experience.
• Excellent writing and interpersonal communications.
• Ability to manage multiple demands and balance evolving needs.
• Decision making and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute a comprehensive annual giving program; target $1.5M+ annually for unrestricted funds.
• Oversee annual giving staff; provide coaching on solicitation, renewal and upgrading gifts.
• Coordinate with Development Communications on materials, timelines and vendors.
• Track data and performance metrics; analyze to inform short- and long-term strategy.
• Partner with events and donor engagement teams on donor acquisition and stewardship.
