Job summary

The Ohio State University Medical Center is seeking an Anesthesia Technician for The James Cancer Hospital to support anesthesia services in operating rooms and related areas. You will prepare, calibrate and maintain anesthesia equipment and assist the team during procedures.

A high school diploma or GED is required; 3 months patient care and 3 months equipment experience; Certified Anesthesia Technician (AT) certification preferred but not required with 2–3 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 3 months patient care experience or equivalent.
• 3 months experience working with medical equipment or equivalent.
• Certified Anesthesia Technician (AT) certification is preferred but not required with 2–3 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Set up, inspect, maintain and calibrate anesthesia equipment.
• Provide diagnostic and treatment support during critical care situations.
• Coordinate anesthesia and autotransfusion services for surgical procedures.
• Stock and organize work areas and demonstrate teamwork and professionalism.
