Job summary

The Ohio State University is seeking an Anesthesia Technician for University Hospital to support anesthesia services and equipment management. The role involves setting up, inspecting, and calibrating anesthesia gear to ensure safe patient care during procedures, under supervision of the Anesthesia Services Manager.

The ideal candidate will have minimal education requirements, 3 months patient care and equipment experience, and may hold a Cert. AT in lieu of more extensive experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3 months patient care experience or equivalent.
• 3 months experience with medical equipment or equivalent.
• Certified Anesthesia Technician (Cert. AT) preferred but not required with 2–3 years of related experience.
• Experience in anesthesia equipment management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up, check, inspect, maintain and calibrate anesthesia equipment.
• Provide diagnostic and treatment services during regular or critical situations.
• Coordinate Anesthesia and Auto transfusion services for procedures.
• Support physicians and staff with technical/logistical needs.
