Job summary

The Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus, OH seeks an Anesthesia Technician to join the anesthesia services team. You will set up and calibrate anesthesia equipment, assist during critical care scenarios, and coordinate auto transfusion support with physicians and hospital staff.

Under supervision, you will ensure safety, stock and organize work areas, and participate in a collaborative team focused on high-quality patient care and efficient operating room operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3 months patient care experience.
• 3 months experience with medical equipment.
• AT certification preferred but not required with 2-3 years of related education/experience.

Responsibilities

• Set up, inspect, maintain and calibrate anesthesia equipment.
• Provide diagnostic and treatment support during critical care situations.
• Coordinate anesthesia and auto transfusion services for procedures.
• Follow safety standards for patients, staff and self.
• Keep work areas stocked, clean and organized.
