Job summary

Ohio State University’s University Hospital is seeking an Anesthesia Technician to support the UH Periop team. The technician will set up, inspect, maintain and calibrate anesthesia equipment and coordinate Anesthesia and Auto transfusion services under supervision.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, plus 3 months of patient care or medical equipment experience. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and efficient perioperative support.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• At least 3 months of patient care experience or equivalent.
• 3 months of experience with medical equipment preferred; AT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up, check, inspect, maintain and calibrate anesthesia equipment.
• Provide diagnostic and treatment support during critical care situations.
• Coordinate Anesthesia and Auto transfusion services with staff and physicians.
• Stock work areas, ensure safety, cleanliness and organization.
• Follow safety standards for patients and staff; demonstrate teamwork.
