Job summary

CVS Health seeks a Software Engineer to develop and operate workforce analytics software. You’ll work on Python services, SQL transformations, and BI integrations to support HR Insights dashboards.

You will partner with data and HR specialists to translate requirements into maintainable code and tests. The role emphasizes security, reliability, and scalable data pipelines, with opportunities to contribute to BigQuery models and Superset datasets.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• 3+ years of Python or comparable language experience with readable code and tests.
• 3+ years building or integrating APIs, services, data workflows, or production systems.
• 3+ years working across application code, data transformations, and operational tooling.
• 2+ years of advanced SQL experience, preferably BigQuery.
• 2+ years of Kimball dimensional modeling.
• 2+ years of Airflow/Cloud Composer and Python for ETL.
• 2+ years of cloud data platforms (GCP preferred).
• 1+ year experience with enterprise BI such as Superset/Power BI/Tableau.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, test, and maintain software features in Python, SQL, and workflow code.
• Translate requirements into technical tasks and collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and HR partners.
• Participate in code reviews, improve existing code, and write automated tests.
• Build and maintain BigQuery transformations and models following conventions.
• Document changes affecting reported numbers and seek owner approval before release.
• Support Superset datasets and dashboard integrations and evaluate APIs, caching, or SSO.
