Job summary

The Hartford Steam Boiler, a Munich Re subsidiary, seeks a Senior Specialist to support underwriters by delivering detailed risk evaluations of high risk occupancies. You will interpret design, condition, operations, maintenance, and human factors to advise on risk improvements through account engineering and loss control.

Regular site visits and a consultative approach with insureds will be used to implement recommendations and reduce underwriting exposures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering can count for 5 years of experience.
• 10+ years experience in high value/risk occupancy industries, boiler inspection, or insurance engineering.

Responsibilities

• Deliver detailed risk evaluations and improve/manage risk through account engineering and loss control.
• Regular site visits to evaluate risk and oversee loss control activities.
• Work with underwriters to reduce underwriting exposures for high risk accounts.
