Job summary

Affirm is seeking an Analyst I in the Risk & Analytics organization to build foundational data analytics for credit decisions and portfolio management. You will work under senior analysts to execute scoped tasks, gain exposure to consumer lending, and contribute to data-driven decisions that optimize approvals, losses, and profitability.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of analytically-driven experience or internships in fintech/financial services are valued.
• Solid working knowledge of SQL, Python, or similar scripting languages.
• Familiarity with data mining, data visualization, and basic statistical modeling.

Responsibilities

• Derive insights and support strategy to optimize product, risk, or growth across geographies.
• Monitor portfolio health by tracking performance metrics, user behavior, and macro trends; flag risks to the team.
• Conduct technical execution by writing clean SQL and Python for scalable reporting and model support.
• Collaborate with Product, Legal, and Compliance to translate regulations into data models and policies.
• Support launches and market entries by aligning with operational capabilities and risk appetite.
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate data mining and routine tasks while ensuring output accuracy.
