Job summary

Dow is seeking an Associate Analytical Technician in Kankakee, IL to support manufacturing operations by conducting laboratory analyses and reporting results to production personnel. The role involves sample preparation, preventive maintenance of laboratory instrumentation, and using software systems to acquire data.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts, and US work authorization.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED at minimum.
• Willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.
• US work authorization; no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Trains to perform routine analyses under supervision until proficient.
• Collects samples according to the Sample Plan.
• Performs basic preventative maintenance of analytical systems.
• Evaluates data validity for routine analyses and takes action.
• Monitors analytical systems and escalates issues as needed.
• Documents, communicates and archives analytical results and data.
• Follows EH&S and ODMS procedures for tasks.
• Suggests improvements to lab work processes and tools.
• Escalates non-routine requests for follow-up.
• Performs lab housekeeping and restocking.
• Processes shipping paperwork.
